Pittsburgh, PA- Penn State Beaver women's basketball fell to Point Park on the road.
In the first half Point Park would score the first point giving them the edge. Beaver's Cassandra Flowers (Pittsburgh, PA / Westinghouse) would put them on the board but it wasn't enough to build the momentum in Beaver's favor. Beaver would end the half down 33 points, 59-26. Beaver's Morgan Kurtz (Washington, PA / Trinity) led the team's offense in the first half with 7 points.
In the second half the momentum completely shifted, Beaver now had dominate control of the court. Kurtz would come out and score within the first 20 seconds of play. Beaver slowly closed in on Point Park but couldn't surpass them losing 76-97. Kurtz and Flowers led the team with 17 and 12 points respectively.
Beaver faces off against Penn College Friday, January 24th at home. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
