Lemont Furnace, PA- Penn State Beaver women's basketball winning streak comes to an end at Penn State Fayette.
In the first minutes of the half, Beaver scored to take a slight lead over Fayette but the score would be tied at the 16:22 mark. The game would go back and forth until Fayette would take the lead and keep it for the remainder of the half. The final score of the half was 38-44, Fayette. All of Beaver's starting five put points on the board and were lead by Morgan Kurtz (Washington, PA / Trinity) who had 9.
In the second half, Beaver put up a fight but Fayette's offense was more than they could handle. The score remained close throughout this half again with the final score being 81-92, Fayette. Kurtz led the team again with 11 points followed Kelsey Brooks (Pittsburgh, PA / Carrick) with 8. Brooks also led the team in rebounds with 9.
Beaver now has a record of 3-1 in the PSUAC and are 5-5 overall. They face Ohio Eastern next on January 11, in their first game of the new year.
