Beaver Drops PSUAC Match to Penn State Fayette 3-0
Taking a loss in the Beaver Fieldhouse, the Lady Lions look to regroup before they hit the court again.
Monaca, PA - In a PSUAC match-up Beaver faced a tough challenge against Penn State Fayette at the Beaver Fieldhouse. Despite a spirited effort, Beaver was unable to secure a set, falling 3-0 to Fayette. The match scores were 25-21, 25-15, and 25-20, reflecting a competitive but ultimately one-sided contest.
The Beaver team struggled to find their rhythm, particularly in attack, as evidenced by their negative hitting percentage across all three sets. Bryanna Neiberg led the offensive effort for Beaver with 11 kills. Aubrey Pulliam provided a bright spot with an impressive .429 hitting percentage, contributing 8 kills on 14 attempts. Defensively, Linnea Pilarski and Jordan Moore were active on the court, combining for 24 digs, but it wasn't enough to turn the tide. The team managed a total of 49 digs, indicating their relentless pursuit of the ball, yet they struggled to convert these into offensive opportunities.
Despite the loss, Beaver showed moments of promise, particularly in their serving game, where they recorded 4 aces.
