New Kensington, PA - In a thrilling display of dominance, the team continued their impressive run in conference play with a commanding 3-0 victory over Penn State New Kensington. This win marks their third consecutive triumph, solidifying their position as a formidable force in the league.
Taking all three sets, Beaver clinced each set with scores of 25-20, 25-19, and 25-17. The team's performance was a testament to their growing synergy and strategic prowess on the court.
Leading the charge for Beaver was Laila Funkhouser, who delivered an outstanding performance with 9 kills and a hitting percentage of .529. Her offensive prowess was complemented by Aubrey Pulliam, who also notched 9 kills and contributed significantly to the team's success with a .375 hitting percentage. Bryanna Neiberg added to the offensive onslaught with 6 kills and a .316 hitting percentage, showcasing the depth and versatility of Beaver's attacking lineup. Defensively, Linnea Pilarski and Hannah Hoffman were instrumental in keeping New Kensington at bay, with Pilarski recording 14 digs and Hoffman contributing an impressive 35 digs.
