CINCINNATI, Ohio—The Penn State Beaver women's volleyball team fell to the University of Cincinnati Clermont in Saturday's Tri-match.
Beaver took a 25-8 loss in set one and a 25-18 loss in set two. Beaver took the third set, 25-13, but lost the final set, 25-19, and a 3-1 loss for the day.
Sophomore Ramiya White (Westland/Wayne Memorial) led the team in kills with nine and finished with two digs, while senior Amanda Mike (Hopewell), who scored eight kills, two aces, one block and 14 digs. Sophomore Heaven Bowman (Houston/Dulles) led the defense with 19 digs and also scored one kill. Sophomore Kelsie Hallum (Hopewell) had double-digit performances in two statistical categories, where she recorded 15 assists and 14 digs for the day.
After today's loss, Beaver now sits at a (15-7) overall record for the regular season and is ranked third in the PSUAC conference standings (6-3).
The Lady Lions will face off against rival Penn State Greater Allegheny the final conference home game of the regular season on Tuesday, Oct. 15. Game time is at 7 p.m.
