Beaver Rallies in Second Half, Falls to York 76–64 in Championship Battle
Penn State Beaver mounted a second-half rally but fell 76–64 to Penn State York in the championship game. An early deficit proved too much to overcome.
State College, PA - Penn State Beaver fell to Penn State York, 76–64, on February 23, 2026 at Rec Hall (University Park). Beaver trailed 41–26 at halftime after being outscored 20–13 in the first quarter and 21–13 in the second, then showed more fight after the break by taking the third quarter 18–12 and playing York nearly even in the fourth (23–20). Despite the improved second half, the early deficit proved too much to erase.
For Beaver, Jaden Tesch and Katie Enderle led the scoring with 14 points apiece. Tesch was efficient at 6-for-11 from the field and added 3 rebounds, while Enderle contributed a well-rounded line with 5 assists and 5 rebounds to go with her 14 points. Cashimere Ralph provided a strong interior presence off the bench with 10 rebounds (5 offensive) and 8 points, and Ny'Ashia Barnes added 9 points on 3-for-8 shooting, including a perfect 1-for-1 from three. As a team, Beaver shot 31.2% (24–77) and went 3-for-14 from deep, while also committing 18 turnovers.
The key swing came in the first half, when Beaver's offense struggled to generate consistent looks and York built a 15-point cushion by intermission. Beaver's best stretch arrived in the third quarter, sparked by more aggressive play and improved scoring balance, but the comeback never fully materialized as York continued to answer in the fourth. Ultimately, Beaver's rebounding effort (36 total, including 10 offensive) and second-half push weren't enough to overcome the early hole and the shooting gap.
