Brining Home Wins After the Break, Women's Basketball Beats Dubois 71-57
In their first game back from break the Women's team secures another victory in the PSUAC.
Monaca, PA - Penn State Beaver earned a 71–57 road win at Penn State Du Bois on Tuesday night, improving to 11-3 overall and 3-1 in conference play. The Lions set the tone early with an 18–15 first-quarter edge, using efficient interior scoring and active defense to keep Du Bois from finding a consistent rhythm. Beaver's balance showed right away, with multiple starters contributing on both ends as the visitors established control without needing a big run.
Du Bois answered in the second quarter, trimming the margin by winning the period 13–10 and tightening the game heading into halftime. Beaver's offense cooled during that stretch, but the Lions responded with their best quarter after the break. Beaver outscored Du Bois 22–18 in the third to reassert momentum, then closed the door in the fourth by holding Du Bois to 11 points while scoring 21 of their own to pull away for the 14-point final.
For Penn State Beaver, Katie Enderle led the way with 18 points on 8-for-10 shooting, while Caitlyn O'Hara added 18 points and Bailey Rieg chipped in 14 points, including 7-for-9 at the free-throw line. Jaden Tesch scored 8 points and Taylor Woodruff contributed 4 points and a team-high 5 assists. Beaver finished at 45.2% from the field (28-for-62), won the rebounding battle on the defensive glass enough to limit second chances, and forced 19 Du Bois turnovers—key factors in a strong road performance. With the victory, Beaver moves to 11-3 overall and 3-1 in conference play.
