Richmond, VA - The Lady Lions continue to defend their National Tournament Champions title as they defeat Five Towns College to advance to the second round of the tournament. After talking an early lead, Beaver never let off and continued to push through to secure their victory. Having their two highest scoring quarters right before and after the half, Beaver knew what it took to bring home a victory.
Leading the charge for Beaver were two seniors, Jimya Chambers and Alexis Cross, who both scored 11 points and had 7 and 5 rebounds respectively. Every player for Beaver touched the court to get their chance in the tournament and helped in some way with this team victory. Beaver made 66.7% of their free throws and pulled down 46 rebounds.
