Monaca, PA- The Lady Lions pushed their current winning streak to four, defeating Lehigh Valley 83-73 on Saturday. Beaver is 4-0 this week, defeating DII Ohio Valley, Kent State Tuscaras, and conference foes Penn State Fayette and Lehigh Valley. The average margin of victories in the run is 10 points.
Junior Guard Morgan Kurtz (Trinity/Washington, PA) led the Lady Lions with34 points and 12 rebounds. Sophomore Asia Border (Lincoln/Ellwood City, PA) added 22 points and 8 rebounds. Sophomore Mason Depetro (Cornell/Coraopolis, PA) added 10 points and Senior guard Kalyn Hill (Montour/Pittsburgh, PA) grabbed 11 rebounds.
Beaver led early by as many as ten in the first half. Lehigh Valley slowly cut into the lead, brining it within 3 at halftime (41-38). Lehigh took the lead with 19 minutes left (45-43). Beaver snatched back the lead, and never gave it pack, pushing the final score to 83-73.
With the win, Beaver now sits at 7-3 overall and 2-0 in the PSUAC. They return to action Sunday, when they host Penn State Hazleton at 1PM.
