Beaver Falls, PA---- The Lady Lions traveled to Geneva College on Tuesday to play their cross town rival Golden Tornadoes as Beaver came away with the win 49-43. In a low scoring contest that featured a combined 63 turnovers, 32 for Geneva and 31 for Beaver, Beaver was able to prevail with the 6 point victory. Beaver was led offensively by Amanda Temple (Avella, Avella) as she scored 13 points while also adding 9 rebounds. Cassandra Flowers (Pittsburgh, Westinghouse) added 12 points and grabbed 5 rebounds as two Lions were in double figures. Senior Brittany Tomaselli (East Liverpool, East Liverpool) added 5 rebounds in the winning effort.
The win improves Beaver's overall record to 3-1 and gives them a two game winning streak against Geneva. Beaver will be back in action on Wednesday when they host Bethany College at 6pm at the Beaver Fieldhouse.
